We highly recommend a trip to the beach in Duhnen, Döse or Sahlenburg! But inform yourself about the tides: If you want to know when the tides are high or low you can find all tide times at cuxhaven-tours.de/tidenkalender.

In the Beach Area we have set up with the North Sea spa Cuxhaven, the CUX Tourismus GmbH and the Beachsportclub Cuxhaven, you can play beach volleyball or, if you want to take it easy, chill out in one of the beach chairs.

Cuxhaven is the birthplace of the DEICHBRAND Festival. If in the days before or after the festival you want to enjoy the northernmost tip of Lower Saxony, the place where the Elbe reaches the North Sea, check www.cuxhaven.de!

If you spend the whole day in the open air, you must drink enough to avoid dehydration! Therefore DEICHBRAND has enough free drinking water points throughout the entire site. You can find the locations on the map. Even if the sky is cloudy, you should think of sun cream and headgear!
