Our festival area borders directly on the Seeflughafen Nordholz and the Marinefliegergeschwader Graf Zeppelin. Therefore please mind the barriers and do not enter either of the two sensitive areas! Violations will be punished without tolerance and reported to the police.
Security & Rules
-
Barriers
-
Crowdsurfing
Crowdsurfing looks fun, but it is very dangerous - so please don't do it! The risk of injury is just too high. If you ignore this prohibition, you'll be banned from the festival.
-
Drug use
We adhere to the prevailing legal requirements, which means for you that the consumption of alcohol, cigarettes and cannabis is generally permitted to all visitors with a minimum age of 16 or 18 years on their own responsibility. All other drugs are prohibited and may not be consumed or carried. Please consider not only your own health but also that of other visitors and avoid consuming cigarettes and cannabis in the immediate vicinity of underage festival visitors.
-
First Aid & Paramedics
For medical emergencies there are always paramedics and doctors from the Johanniter team at your disposal. The medical tents can be found in the camping area as well as between Camp Central and the concrete factory. You can also contact the members of the security team at any time if you need help, they can put you in touch with the paramedics. If you already know before the festival that you need medical assistance on site, contact us in advance!
Please keep the escape routes in the Camp Area clear for the Johanniter team at all times! If you need medical help and don't find a mobile team, please contact the paramedics directly at 0800 - 19 21 400 or of course the common emergency number 112.
-
Food & Co.
For safety reasons, we cannot allow you to take your own food and drinks onto the infield. Exceptions are small packed lunches for personal use, empty foldable drinking bottles up to 1 liter, empty Tetrapak's up to 1 liter and open empty drinking cups made of plastic or cardboard up to 0.5 liters.
-
Fire
Open fire is forbidden on the whole festival area (also on the campsites). Barbecue is allowed of course, but don't leave your stove unattended at any time! Liquid barbecue igniters may not be brought onto the premises, and gas cookers with cartridges heavier than 250g gas weight also have to remain outside.
-
Gas Cookers
Gas cookers are always welcome on the camping site because they have a higher energy yield than a grill and they smell less. For safety reasons, however, gas cartridges over 250g gas weight are not allowed on site. We reserve the right to randomly check camper vans for the test seals of the gas systems. If your seal of approval is not up to date, the vehicle is not allowed on the camp!
-
Items, allowed and forbidden
In agreement with the authorities, we have decided to ban bags and drinks at the DEICHBRAND Festival as far as possible. Here you can see which items are allowed or forbidden:
-
Evacuation
In the unlikely event of an evacuation of the site, there are numerous emergency exits available, which you can find in the site plan. An evacuation will be announced from the stages. A speaker will explain the situation and ask you to leave the venue in an orderly fashion and get to your cars. Help others and give shelter in your vehicles to visitors who didn't arrive with their own car! Our stewards are well trained and know what to do, their instructions ensure your safety, so please listen to them!
-
Glass
For safety reasons, there is a strict glass ban effective for the whole festival area. We check this with every access to the campground and the infield and pull in all glass bottles without replacement.
-
Barbecue
Barbecue is allowed everywhere in the camping area - but please don't let your barbecue spot out of sight at any time! Please use dry barbecue igniters. Liquid igniters and gas cartridges over 250g gas weight must remain outside.
-
Safespace for assault victims
If you feel threatened or uncomfortable in any way, you can use the code "Wo geht's nach Panama?" ("Where's Panama?") at any bar, with all security staff, helpers and of course the police and paramedics, and without further questions you will be escorted to a protected environment.
We have introduced the Panama project because the feeling of a threat is often not exactly tangible and you might not want to tell a stranger that you have just been attacked or harassed. Everyone who knows the way to Panama wears a green bracelet with the Panama logo on it. No matter who asks for help and no matter why, everyone gets assistance right on the spot.
-
Police
In our security area, police officers are available around the clock to help you if necessary. In urgent cases, you can also reach out to the security team, they can notify the police by radio. For arrival and departure, you should be prepared for general traffic controls.
-
Pyrotechnics
Pyrotechnics are dangerous! Anyone who plays with fire will be expelled and handed over to the police. Please leave firecrackers, rockets, flares and all other fireworks at home. The risk of injury is just too severe!
-
Electricity
For safety reasons, it is generally forbidden to bring or use generators or additional car batteries! In case you do need electricity: In the safe boxes of our partner BigBoxBerlin 230V sockets are available for charging your devices. For all those who don't want to do without electricity at all: In the Womo Watt and in the Comfort Village we offer a reliable power supply.
-
Bag Regulations
Like most festivals, DEICHBRAND can only allow you to take belly bags or belt bags with maximum dimensions of 25cm x 10 cm x 15cm or a neck pouch or a shoulder bag with the dimensions of a DIN-A5 flyer of 21cm x 15cm x 2cm into the infield. Visitors with bags or backpacks must be rejected at the entrance and asked to repack. You can lock your bags or backpacks in the safe boxes of our partner BigBoxBerlin for a small fee!
-
Animals
A festival area is not a suitable place for animals. Save your four-legged friends stress and noise and leave them at home please!
-
Severe Weather
In case of weather turbulences, we will inform you immediately via the communication channels available to us. Please follow our instructions and at best seek shelter in your cars. If you meet someone who can't find shelter or is unable to help themselves, take them under your wing! We are a community and we help each other!
-
Video Surveillance
Substantial parts of the festival area are video-monitored. This is for your own safety. We therefore ask for your understanding!
-
Weapons Ban
Weapons are strictly forbidden at the whole festival. For the benefit of the safety of all participants we carry out routine check-ups. In the case of violations we refuse access to the festival area and report to the authorities. This also applies to fireworks, flares and other pyrotechnics!
