Four years have passed since Blood Red Shoes released their last record. In 2015 it was also their last time on stage at DEICHBRAND Festival. But the break was necessary to come back after having created something greater: The group took a lot of time to work on their new label and also putting some effort in side projects like "Shit Girlfriend". In the meantime two more singles have joined their list of releases: "God Complex" comes along as straight rock and with a sawing riff, "Call Me Up Victoria" works through its march rhythms.
The rather special fusion of rock and punk comes along with some pop music appeal, no one else than Blood Red Shoes can match these bits of music so properly. But the best comes for last: At DEICHBRAND Festival 2019 singer and guitarist Laura-Mary Carter and singer and drummer Steven Ansell will once again prove their kick-ass songwriter qualities. There is not much but: Put ‘em on your DEICHBRAND Festival bucket list!
