The artist, who grew up in East Berlin, is known for his unique blend of emotional vocals and electronic beats and gained worldwide fame in 2008 with “Sky and Sand”, a collaboration with his brother Paul Kalkbrenner. After further successes with albums like “Here Today Gone Tomorrow” and “Sick Travellin'”, he set new standards in 2018 with his purely instrumental album “Drown”. Kalkbrenner, who has founded his own record label Nasua Music, remains an integral part of the international music scene with singles like “Moments Gone” and “Waiting For The Sun”.
