Maximo Park formed in the early 2000s and surfed directly on the wave of indie success that was sweeping the world at the time - and without a "The" in their name! In 2005, they celebrated an unexpectedly huge success with their debut album "A Certain Trigger" and since then have been a stylistically confident grab in the music box, not only at dance parties. In recent years it has become a little quieter around the Brits, also because singer Paul Smith was on solo paths. All the more we are happy to welcome the band back in the line-up of the DEICHBRAND Festival after 2014!
