Simina's musical roots go deep back to her childhood, when she studied classical violin and keyboard. Combined with her parents' musical heritage and her passion for hip-hop freestyling as a teenager, this forms the foundation of her style, which she continues to explore today. In the clubs of Toronto, where she was exposed to artists like Jeff Mills, Josh Wink and Juan Atkins as a child, Simina's style evolved into the straightforward and uplifting techno she stands for today. Her first productions were released in 2010 - a debut album was to follow, as "Exit City" became one of Susumu Records' biggest chart toppers. One can be sure that the coming months and years will be full of amazing releases, performances and surprises!
