MASSENDEFEKT
Massendefekt describe their style as “Punk & Roll,” and that’s exactly what their music is all about: German lyrics, rock-driven guitars, and a blend of punk’s directness and pop’s melodic sensibility. Since their formation in 2001, the band from the Düsseldorf area has been known for their honest lyrics and high-energy concerts. Songs like “Wohin wir gehen,” “Der Hoffnung entgegen,” and “Ich brauche keinen” explore self-determination, doubts, and the courage to forge one’s own path. To mark the band’s 25th anniversary, they released their album “Massendefekt” in 2026, on which they combine personal stories with a clear stance and a forward-looking perspective. After having to cancel their 2026 show due to health reasons, they’re now bringing the perfect sound to DEICHBRAND 2027 so we can all let off some steam together.
