Camping information
The campground is open from Thursday noon to Monday noon. For visitors with an early arrival ticket, the respective camping areas already open on Wednesday at 03:00 p.m.
Per camp, tents and tent material, tent accessories and a maximum of one normal pavilion (3x3 meters) are permitted. If a group of more than 10 people camp together, more than one pavilion is allowed. Extremely disproportionate structures such as party tents are not permitted.
To everyone who is particularly concerned about environmental protection, we recommend the Green Camp. If you want to bring your car, motorbike or van to the camp, you can book Womo Camp or Womo Green Camp.
In general, there is no electricity supply on the camping sites. If you absolutely cannot do without electricity, you should choose the Womo Watt Camp.
The Comfort Village is a particularly exclusive camping offer: Here you can live in a garden, a wooden cabin, a tipi or an igloo. For visitors with a day ticket, there is a separate camping area where you can stay over night once.
In order to shorten the waiting time at the checkpoints, we recommend: Pick up your ribbons without luggage! There is an extra fastlane for this. Afterwards you can walk directly past the queue to the campground with your luggage.
We offer shower facilities on all campsites. Bring your own shampoo and towels, running water is free - hot and cold as you like!
There are facilities for emptying the chemical toilets of your motorhome at all Womo campsites. You will find the stations at the exits of the WoMo North, WoMo Central, WoMo South & WoMo Green campsites. There you can empty your chemical toilets into a white tank via a funnel. You will soon find all of these emptying stations in the digital festival map in the app.
If you don't need your tent, sleeping bag or sleeping mat anymore after the festival, you can drop them off at the Hanseatic Help booth! The non-profit aid organization uses your donations to help homeless people who have to live on the streets of Hamburg. More info: nachsommerkommtkalt.de
Gas cookers are always welcome on the camping site because they have a higher energy yield than a grill and they smell less. For safety reasons, however, gas cartridges over 250 g gas weight are not allowed on site. We reserve the right to randomly check camper vans for the test seals of the gas systems. If your seal of approval is not up to date, the vehicle is not allowed on the camp!
On the campground and on the infield there are free drinking water stations near the sanitary facilities. The numerous drink stands provide you with refreshments of all kinds. Please mind the glass ban and the cup deposit regulations!
For safety reasons, there is a strict glass ban effective for the whole festival area. We check this with every access to the campground and the infield and pull in all glass bottles without replacement.
Barbecue is allowed everywhere in the camping area - but please don't let your barbecue spot out of sight at any time! Please use dry barbecue igniters! Liquid igniters and gas cartridges over 250g gas weight must remain outside.
On Thursday, 16 July 2026 at 12:00 we will open all the camping gates. From Friday all areas will be fully open. The daily entry times are based on the running order of the respective day. If you have an early arrival ticket, you can already move into your camps on Wednesday from 03:00 p.m.
Together, we can keep the festival grounds clean—it’s fun and helps protect the environment! Remember to pack up your tent and camping gear before you leave. Don’t forget your tent stakes. If there’s anything you no longer need, you can also donate it at the recycling stations. The non-profit aid organization Hanseatic Help will then provide homeless people with your tents, sleeping pads, and sleeping bags. Together, we’ll leave the camping areas clean so they can be used as pastureland again until the next DEICHBRAND. If you smoke, please dispose of your cigarette butts properly—preferably using a pocket ashtray.
At the wristband distribution point, we’ll give you a trash bag to collect your waste. Return it full to a trash collection station and receive either a €10 voucher for the ticket shop or a 15 € voucher for the merchandise shop—the choice is yours! Please remember to bring your ticket; it must be scanned when you hand in the trash bag.
At the waste collection stations, you can also dispose of and recycle sorted waste. We separate waste into paper, lightweight packaging, food waste, and general waste. If you have any questions about waste separation, the staff on site will be happy to assist you. For example, paper waste can be recycled into new paper.
Showers and toilets are marked on the site plan and can be found all over the festival area. We also provide a sufficient amount of drinking water free of charge via fresh water dispensers. On the campgrounds the use of the showers and the water flushed toilets is free of charge.
For safety reasons, it is generally forbidden to bring or use generators or additional car batteries! For all those who don't want to do without electricity at all: In the Womo Watt and in the Comfort Village we offer a reliable power supply.
A festival area is not a suitable place for animals. Save your four-legged friends stress and noise and leave them at home please.
