General festival information
We examine every ID at our checkpoints.
Children under the age of 8 are not admitted to the festival.
8 to 15 years inclusive: Persons of this age are only admitted to the festival if they are accompanied by a parent or guardian of legal age. For this purpose, a parenting authorization ("Muttizettel") including a copy of the identity card of the person with parental authority (usually parents) and the identity card of the accompanying person with parental authority must be presented at check-in. The adult accompanying person with parental authority must be in the immediate vicinity of the minor at all times and fulfill their duty of supervision. Both must be able to show the parent's ID to security, the youth welfare office or our crew at any time during the festival.
16 up to and including 17 years: Minors who are at least 16 years old do not necessarily need an adult accompanying adult to attend the festival. However, without an accompanying person, they must leave the infield (concert area) before midnight and return to the campsite. We therefore recommend that they are accompanied by a parent or guardian of legal age. For this purpose, a parenting authorization ("Muttizettel") including a copy of the identity card of the person with parental authority (usually parents) and the identity card of the adult accompanying person must be brought to the festival and carried at all times. The adult accompanying person with parental authority must then be in the immediate vicinity of the minor on the concert grounds after midnight and fulfill their duty of supervision. Both must be able to show the parental note to security, the youth welfare office or our crew at any time during the festival.
Or simply put:
Admission to the festival only from the age of 8!
8 up to and including 15-year-olds must be accompanied by a person (aged 18 and over) and bring a completed parent/guardian form in order to be allowed to visit the festival. You will not be admitted to the festival without an accompanying person!
16 and 17-year-olds can also come to DEICHBRAND without a parent's note. However, they are only allowed to see the concerts until midnight and then have to return to the camp. We therefore recommend that you are accompanied by a person of legal age and bring a parent's note. That way you won't miss any concerts!
For having a good orientation during the festival, you can find all information in our DEICHBRAND App. You can download the app from the App Store and the Google Play Store.
